Biography
Sara Hacala is a certified etiquette and protocol trainer and is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington.
Ms. Hacala began her career in the corporate arena. An entrepreneur at heart, she left her position as manager of a research department at CBS Television to establish her own successful high-end corporate gift firm, Bloodhound, Ltd. which she operated for eighteen years, serving Fortune 500 and Wall Street firms.
A consummate hostess, Ms. Hacala, as an avocation, obtained a professional cooking degree and apprenticed in a Michelin three-star restaurant in France. She further used those skills in planning high-level fund-raising events and galas.
Growing up south of the Mason-Dixon line where manners were an integral part of life, Ms. Hacala learned from an early age to appreciate the fine points of appropriate behavior as well as the beauty and art of a well-laid table. Her real enthusiasm, however, came with the realization of how social skills could change and elevate peoples’ lives, allowing them to communicate respectively and effectively. The poise and confidence that comes from that knowledge translates into one’s personal and business success.
Ms. Hacala is an accomplished trainer and lecturer on business etiquette and civility. Her passion is helping adults of all ages advance their lives and careers by elevating their Social IQs. She lives in Connecticut with Tom, her husband of thirty-two years, and their sixteen year-old daughter.
